Professional photographers who want to hone their wedding shooting skills will have an opportunity to learn in a hands-on workshop in the new year of 2013.
Northwest Florida Professional Photographers Guild will have a Wedding Shootout at Destin Bay House on January 15, 2013, from 2:00pm - 5:30 pm, featuring three bride models in a full wedding experience. A reception and Q&A session will follow at Crab Island Cantina in Harbor Walk Village.
Six of the Emerald Coast's premier photographers will teach participants how to look beyond the tired wedding cliches and rock their work with modern techniques and perspectives.
- Cathy Catanese with Cathy Catanese Photography will cover how to shoot a natural light ceremony.
- Mari Darr~Welch of Mari Darr~Welch Modern Photojournalism will teach Receptions Unplugged: So many looks, one set-up along with a session on the quiet beauty of the pre-wedding activities.
- Tom Carter and Marcia Wright-Reynolds with Gulf Reflections will share their expertise on the perfect poses for the bridal party.
- Norm Wolf of Wolfcreek Images will show shooters how to capture magazine-worthy wedding details.
Bring your camera, accessories, a notebook and your enthusiasm, and be ready to take your skills to the next level and get a treasure trove of fresh ideas to take to your next bookings.
The workshop will be limited to the first 40 people to sign up. Cost is $39 for guild members, $59 for non-guild members.
